The animation steps through a four-beat bar with a click. You can split each beat into one, two, three or four parts, and the bar shows the syllables used to count them: "1 &" for eighths, "1 la le" for triplets and "1 e & a" for sixteenths. The beat click sounds different from the subdivision click.
